Halloween

Emme was a little bee for Halloween. She looked so cute in her costume. It was a really nice night and everyone was sitting outside and handing out candy. We went trick or treating with Gabrielle and some of our friends from the neighborhood. She had a great time watching all the kids and fell asleep towards the end.

Bows

So, having a little girl has made me obsessed with all things "girly". My neighbor and I have been having a blast making bows for our little girls. Here are a few pictures I have taken this week. Next on deck...TUTUS!

4 Months

We had Emme's 4 month appointment yesterday. She now weighs 14 lbs 15oz (75th percentile) and is 26 inches long (90th percentile). She is now wearing 6 month and some 6-9 month clothing. I am sadly packing up her clothes that don't fit anymore. Some many cute outfits...so little time. Emme continues to light up my life with her smile, snuggles, and coos. She is "talking" quite a bit and experimenting with how loud she can get! We talked with her doctor about her early stranger anxiety and she said that some babies just know what they want and when they want it! I wonder where that comes from!! I hope she gets over it quickly...I'm tired of holding my breath every time someone talks to her, or some days even looks at her!! I also think that she has started teething. I had my two bottom teeth by 15 weeks, so I think that she will be early as well. Everything is going in the mouth! Kenai is still loving on her, and she is watching her more as well. I can't wait to see how their relationship progresses.

Off to the Races

Emme turned 3 months on the 23rd of September. I can't believe how big she is getting! I'm truly enjoying my time with her at home and tear up at the thought of returning to work. At this point I'm not sure what I will be doing or when I will have to get serious about doing it! Right now Emme is giggling and smiling a ton. She is reaching for toys, our dog, and is putting everything in her mouth! This past week she met some very important family members. Her Grandpa Craig and Grandma Jan came to visit from Minnesota. One day we all went to the horse races. Emme seemed to enjoy looking at the horses. Although her mom and dad couldn't pick a winner if their lives depended on it! She also met her Great-Grandma for the first time. Here are some recent pictures.

Zoo Trip

Last week our good friends Brady, Stacey, and Kai came to visit. We made a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo. Emme did a great job and even slept most of the time. I am looking forward to taking her there when she is older and can really enjoy it!

9 Weeks

8 Weeks

Hard to believe that Emme is two months old already! At her 2 month appointment she weighed 12 lbs 11 oz and was 23 1/2 inches long. That puts her in the 90 percentile for both! She is such a chubby baby...I love it!! She is starting to sleep much longer stretches at night, although she still prefers to stay up late. We are working on it! I also cut out all dairy from my diet and that has really helped with her fussy/gassy issues. It has been really hard not having my nightly root beer float, but worth it to have a happy baby! Next to go is peanut butter...I never knew that breastfeeding was going to cause so many problems. We will try to introduce dairy slowly again in two months. Here are some new pictures.

6 Weeks Old

Emme is now 6 weeks old. I look down at my little girl and can't believe how big she is getting! She is getting better every day at holding her head up and she loves to stand on those chubby legs. She is also really starting to focus in on faces and her toys. I bought her the play gym this week. She is not a big fan yet, but you can see who is!

Emme- 3 Weeks Old

3 Weeks Old

Here is a pic of Emme's first bath. She wasn't too impressed as you can see. She does love to have her hair washed though. It is super curly when wet...I am hoping that she gets my curls!

I can't believe that she is 3 weeks already! She changes so much everyday! I could stare at her little face forever!

Birth Weight

One of Jesse's wonderful traits that Emme inherited is his love for food. She is a great eater and already has the nickname "Chunky Monkey"! When we left the hospital she was down to 6lbs 10 oz. The next day (Friday) she went in for a weight check and was at 6lbs 11oz. We returned on Monday to be weighed and she was 7lbs 2oz!!!! So from Friday to Monday she gained 7oz ! We will have chubby cheeks in no time!
